Russia/Ukraine war seems to be imminent. Ukraine is located in Eastern Europe and is the second-largest country by area in Europe after Russia. Russia actually borders Ukraine to the East and Northeast. Also, there has been much tension in the region as Ukraine is concerned a Russian invasion is imminent. The U.S. State Department has ordered nonessential personnel at its embassy in Kyiv to evacuate immediately and also recommends that all U.S. citizens leave Ukraine.

The U.K. government have warned Russian forces are trying to overthrow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and establish a pro-Putin puppet. Moreover, there are more than 100,000 Russian troops along the Ukrainian border. Thousands of Russian fighters and tanks are arriving in Belarus, Ukraine’s northwest neighbor. It is assumed Russia is there for military exercises with the Belarusian army.

The Kremlin has sent mixed signals and Moscow denies any intention to invade Ukraine. However, Moscow has warned of “military action” if Putin’s demands are not met.
