Watch this live HD webcam on the Pine River Channel from the Charlevoix South Pier Light. Named after the French explorer Pierre François Xavier de Charlevoix, Charlevoix, Michigan was first settled in the early 1850s and then incorporated as a village in 1879. Charlevoix is situated on an isthmus between Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix and encircles tiny Round Lake, which, along with the Pine River, serves as a link between the two larger lakes.
